Access days
Tesco Access Day Cyber Crime,
Retail and Banking Access Day
Our students attend a fairly intense networking meeting for an entire day. They’re introduced to employers and role models from different related professions. Group sizes vary from 60-90. For many students, this is utterly electrifying. They learn multiple skills here and are hugely inspired and become determined to follow their dreams.
The aim is to start believing in yourself.
So what skills do they learn at the Access Day ?
Feedback from students:
“I learnt more information on requirements needed to work in these sectors, subject studies and experience employers look at.” The Bishop’s Stortford High School
“It has taught me more about careers in both Cyber Crime and Finance. Additionally, it’s encouraged me to follow a career in either path.” Simon Balle School
“The events are an invaluable opportunity for students to meet with employers and gain an insight into their chosen careers which they wouldn’t otherwise have. Our students came back inspired and focused on their career goals. Others made connections and are hoping to arrange work experience as a result of these meetings. The location of events is brilliant, for many this is their first experience in a business environment and they will hopefully feel more confident in these environments in the future. I highly recommend the Careers Day and I look forward to sending more students next year.” Mrs Kat Jones, teacher
